Under Floor Insulation

Introduction

We all like to save money on our monthly bills. Allinoil can help you do that by offering you solutions to help you save energy in your house.

Using less energy will save you money on your fuel bills year after year. As well as helping to look after the environment and slow down the rate of climate change.

Benefits of Insulating your Home

Insulating your home is a proven way of keeping your fuel bills down and ensuring your home is warm. Insulation stops the cold getting in and the heat getting out.

Some health conditions can be made worse by living in a cold, damp home? Any home that is damp and cold can have serious impacts on young children and older people. It can lead to complications for anybody who has health conditions linked to heart, lungs and circulatory system.

By having a range of insulation types installed into your home you can save money, use less energy, help the environment and keep you and your family warm and well.

Under Floor Insulation

Underfloor insulation is an excellent way to keep your property warm. Uninsulated floors lose approximately 15% of the heat from your home.

Installing Underfloor Insulation is very similar to loft insulation, only the opposite. Loft roll is placed between the joists and a breathable membrane is stapled to the joists; this keeps the insulation tight to the floorboards to prevent any sagging. This prevents cold drafts coming through the floorboards from underneath your home but also stop heat loss through the floor.

Older homes are most likely to have suspended timber floors that allows the Underfloor Insulation installation to be carried out. At our survey stage, we consider and assess areas such as the depth below the floor. If you have air bricks or ventilation bricks on the outside walls of your home that are below floor level, you most likely have a suspended timber floor.

Benefits of Installing Underfloor Insulation include:

  • Lower your energy bills and save money.
  • Eliminate any drafts coming from underneath your floorboards.
  • Prevent heat from escaping from gaps in your floorboards.
  • Reduce your Carbon Footprint by using less energy to keep your home warm.
